The Governor signed the bill forgiving snow days that were also "declared emergency days" this past winter. Therefore, Perry Public Schools will revert to the original calendar calling for no school on Th 5/24, Mon. 5/27 and the last day of school is, once again Th 6/6. The last day is a half day for students.

Dear Parents, Students, and Staff, This is an update about potential Perry Public Schools snow day make-up. As of today, the State Legislature is considering various proposals that could "forgive" some, all, or none of the days school was closed due to the "state of emergency" called by the Governor of Michigan. So far there is no clear indication of what the State will do. Therefore here are our plans, (subject to change if the legislature acts). Monday May 24th is currently a day off on the Friday before Memorial Day. It will become a full school day if there is no "forgiveness" from the State. Friday, June 7th will be added to the calendar as a full day of school Monday June 10th and Tuesday June 11th will also be added to the calendar. They may be half days for exams with June 5th and 6th becoming full days of school (they are currently 1/2 days for exams). Again, this depends upon what action the State may take. If you have questions or concerns feel free to call me at (517) 625-3108 or email fosterm@perry.k12.mi.us Regards, Mike Foster, Superintendent

the weatherperson has given us more to think about this week. Tonight through Wednesday looks quite "iffy" with predictions of snow, sleet, and or freezing rain. Friday doesn't look good either but school is closed Friday and the following Monday for President's Day so we will not miss school due to weather those days. Back to tonight. A decision will be made around five AM regarding whether or not to cancel school. If it is icy both school and child care will close. If it closed due to snowfall we will keep child care open. Evening events depend on the weather and other factors. We'll decide on them later in the day, usually around noon.
