The Perry Public Schools Board of Education is posting a vacancy due to the passing of Mrs. Catherine Hahn.
Mrs. Hahn was an active part of the PPS community, serving as a board member for 20 years, with many of those years serving in the office of Secretary, as well as previously serving as our Board President.
For decades, Catherine has been a strong supporter for the students and families of Perry Public Schools. Her voice will truly be missed. If you are a resident of Perry Public Schools and are interested in applying for this vacancy, please see the posting for additional information: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1arwsWr_qqr7G4i5y6zqxg7nezoDCwpBZ/view?usp=sharing

Investing in Our Future Without Increasing the Current Tax Rate.
Perry Public Schools is proud to present a strategic bond proposal that enhances all three district buildings without increasing taxes from the current rate. By adequately timing this proposal with the district’s current debt structure, we can maintain our current 7.6 mill debt millage rate while funding improvements that directly benefit our students and community. This zero mill increase approach allows us to create modern, safe learning environments without increasing the current tax rate.
The bond will deliver comprehensive improvements including district-wide safety upgrades, modernized facilities, updated instructional technology, and expanded spaces for athletics, arts, and specialized programs like robotics and wrestling. The centerpiece fieldhouse project will feature an indoor walking track open to the entire community, creating a valuable year-round resource for Perry families. These enhancements build upon our strategic plan, taking our programs to the next level while ensuring our facilities match our educational vision.
If approved, this proposal will support Perry students with state-of-the-art resources without increasing the current tax rate. The bond is expected to simply extend the existing debt millage rate for three additional years before it begins to decline.

Congratulations, PHS Class of 2024!
