Wellness Program

Welcome back, Perry students and families! We’re excited for another school year and want to remind you about the School Wellness Program (SWP), a grant-funded, community-based program available to all Perry Middle and High School students.

Our mission is to strengthen students’ physical and mental health by providing access to nursing care and social work services while students are at school.

The SWP team includes a school nurse and social worker who are here to support students with a variety of needs. Trish Bloss LMSW is the new School Based Therapist joining Nurse Nicole Fila in the School Wellness Program at Perry MS/HS. Trish brings over 20 years of experience providing therapy services to children and adolescents who have experienced anxiety, depression and trauma. Trish has a therapy office in the school media center where she can provide on-going outpatient therapy services to youth experiencing mild to moderate symptoms. Therapy can be provided during the school day to students with completed parental and student consent. If interested, parents/guardians/students can reach out and Trish will contact you prior to intake.

Nursing services may include:

  • Physical assessments

  • Over-the-Counter medications for minor ailments

  • Care planning and case management

  • Referrals and community resources

Social work services may include:

  • Therapy sessions

  • Crisis intervention

  • Referrals and community resources

Students can access services by appointment or through a walk-in when available, Monday–Friday from 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. After-school and summer appointments can also be arranged when needed.
