The Shiawassee Community Foundation Scholarships are made available online November 1, 2025 and due January 31, 2026. Questions should be directed to 989-725-1093.

FAFSA
Every senior pursuing post-secondary education should complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA). The financial information you submit will determine what types of Federal Student Aid for which you are eligible. Any school you are hoping to attend will use information from the Student Aid Report (SAR) to generate a financial aid package.
You must first create an FSA ID (only create once), which you can create at anytime. The FAFSA application opens every year on October 1. You will use your FSA ID to complete the application. Some financial aid is provided on a first come, first serve basis. The FAFSA should be completed as soon as possible each year.
The FSA ID(username and password) has replaced the Federal Student Aid PIN and must be used to log in to certain U.S. Department of Education websites. The FSA ID confirms your identity when you access financial aid information and electronically sign Federal Student Aid documents.
