The Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-STEP) is administered to all 3rd-8th and 11th grade students in the spring. This test is fully online and assesses students in the areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. At the middle school, students in 5th grade take the ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies assessments; 6th and 7th grade students take ELA and Math assessments; and the 8th grade students take the Science and Social Studies assessments, in addition to the PSAT 8/9 (see more information on PSAT 8/9).

5th and 8th grade students will take the M-Step between April 13 and May 8.

6th and 7th grade students will take the M-Step between May 4 and May 29.

Prior to the testing window, we have students practice with the online test tools and practice sample questions from the M-Step website. Parents are welcome to check out the sample questions from the MStep here. Click on the grade level, then subject area.
