I am Jeff Dietz, the Middle School Guidance Counselor. This is my tenth year here at Perry MS. I’ve worked with the students and families in Perry for the past seventeen years, starting at Shaftsburg Elementary School in 2001. I truly enjoy working with middle school age students. Working in the middle school has its unique set of challenges, as well as its unique rewards. There is never a dull moment at the middle school! I hold a Masters degree in Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University, I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and have a School Counselor License from the State of Michigan. I am willing to help your students make a successful transition through a stage of life that is full of growth, new challenges, new opportunity, new friendships, and of course, DRAMA. Many things can happen in a child’s life over the course of four years at the middle school. Some positive, some pretty hard to handle. Let's work together to help them navigate through it.
On another note, I’ve been married for twenty years, have four beautiful children, ages ten, twelve, fourteen, and sixteen. In my spare time I love to fish and I love sports. I referee high school soccer and I coach high school track. Email is the best way to get ahold of me, but please feel free to stop by or call anytime.
