Dear Families,

Welcome back to another fabulous year! I am excited to get reacquainted with my old friends and to meet many new ones. My name is Jackie Staib and this is my fifth year as principal here at Perry Elementary. Things I learned my first four years:

  • Feedback is essential - Not everything needs to be positive, constructive criticism increases awareness and encourages problem-solving.
  • Make the phone call - Building trusting relationships through open communication allows for the tougher conversations to be had.
  • Teamwork! Teamwork! Teamwork! - Nothing can be accomplished alone.
  • Every child needs a champion - When they like you, anything is possible.
  • Nothing is predictable - hence Covid Crisis Craziness!!

This new school year will bring many more lessons. Thank you for joining me on this journey! Please stop in to visit or email me at any time, staibj@perry.k12.mi.us.
